JDK Lodge is a small training operation located in Te Aroha. Trainer Colin Fache holds a full trainers license and has been working out of Te Aroha since 2003. Prior to that Colin operated out of Stratford Race Course. JDK Lodge takes pride in their ability to treat each horse as an individual giving each the attention he needs. During the winter the horses are boxed at night and spend the rest of the days out in their paddocks. JDK Lodge feels this gives the horse a better chance to settle and results in an overall more settled horse. JDK Lodge operates a convenient 6k from Te Aroha Racecourse and trucks horses to the track six days a week.

Services

We offer pre training and training services at a cost of $40 per day plus expenses.
Expenses include:
track fees
farrier care
vet fees (only when needed)
transport costs (ie to the track for races)
drenching.

Syndication/Leasing

If you want to race a horse without the cost of actually purchasing one leasing is a good way to go. Even cheaper would be if you were to get a bunch of friends together to race the horse.
